Eyeliner-friendly post-hardcore act On the Last Day materialized in Seattle, WA, about drummer Drew Dowell and brothers Aaron (bass) and Justin Johnson (guitar). Still in high school, the trey were already playing unitedly in a band when, just as their singer was exiting, vocalist-to-be Geoffrey Walker was relocating from Vermont to Washington. The guys crossed paths in 2003 and iI practices later, On the Last Day were formally born; second guitar player Frank Gross coupled up a yr later. On the Last Day played about the Seattle golf club prospect as a great deal as they could, and though they managed to score random gigs with bands like Atreyu and the Deftones, it was with their friends in Aiden that bills were unremarkably shared. Aiden gestural to Victory Records at the close of 2004, and as destiny would have it, On the Last Day followed courtship in March 2006. Having previously released the EP Wars Like Whispers in August 2005, the guys issued their Victory debut, Signification in the Static, in late summer 2006.
