Springsteen collaborates on anti-war film
Robert I Springsteen, Neil Young and Pearl Pile have contributed songs to the soundtrack of a newly anti-war docudrama.
Hoarding reports that 'Body of State of war: Songs That Inspired an Al-Iraq War Veteran' will be released on 18 March on Sire Records.
All payoff from the album will go to Al-Iraq Veterans Against the Warfare.
The documentary film 'Body of War' tells the narrative of Tomas Young, a US US Army soldier paralysed in Iraq.
The plastic film will open on 13 March in Capital of Texas, Texas ahead opening night across the US in subsequent months. European passing dates have in time to be revealed.
Speak show veteran soldier Phil Donahue co-directed the film with Ellen Spiro.
Young was the driving force slow the album, which features the ace 'No More', composed specifically by Bone Jam's Eddie Vedder for the film. Pearl Jam's live reading of Bobber Dylan's 'Masters of War' besides features on the soundtrack.
Springsteen's track 'Devils & Dust' is on the album, as is Neil Young's 'The Restless Consumer'.
Other songs featured admit 'Yo George' from Tori Book of Amos, 'Son of a Bush' from Public Foe and 'Bushonomics' from Talib Kweli and Dogwood Due west.
