Merging power and neoclassical metal, progressive rock and roll, and AOR, pan-European quintuple Time Requiem was formed in 2002 by vocalist Apollo Papathanasio (too Meduza), guitar player Magnus Nordh, keyboardist Richard Anderson (Place Odyssey, Majestic, etc.), bassist Dick Lövgren, and drummer Peter Wildoer (too Darkane). A self-titled debut emerged the following twelvemonth and was before long followed by the live record album Unleashed in Japan, after which Time Requiem replaced their speech rhythm section with the Flower Kings' Jonas Reingold (bass) and Zoltan Csorsz (drums). 2004 byword the entry of their soph album, The Inner Circle of Reality.
