The hip-hop/electronica twosome Ammoncontact -- comprised of deuce highschool friends, early Los Angeles radio receiver DJ Carlos Niño and Rhode Island native Fabian Ammon Alston -- made their debut on the 2001 compiling Dublab Presents: Freeways with their song "Chord, Pts. twelve." Two long time later they released their low full-length, Sounds Like Everything, on Plug Research. The adjacent class Unmatchable in an Infinity of Ways came knocked out, followed in 2005 by New Birth on Ninja Tune, the label Ammoncontact stuck with for their fourth record, 2006's With Voices, their first album to feature a guest creative person on every track.
